JOB SUMMARY:
A data entry clerk handles routine clerical tasks related to entering or updating data in a computer system. A data entry clerk’s main responsibility is to ensure that the organization’s database is accurate and up-to-date. Data entry clerks may also assist accounts receivable with duties like processing invoices for payout and reviewing and processing order returns.
Data entry clerks often collect data and input information into databases, review records for accuracy, update databases with new or revised information, performing regular backups to ensure data preservation, retrieve records and electronic files, sorting and organize paper records or notes, and prepare digital materials or files for printing
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or comparable work experience
- Microsoft Office Suite and Database Systems
- Knowledge of privacy laws and regulations
- Knowledge of customer service concepts and practices
- Knowledge of basic systems as needed
- Skill in operating a ten-key calculator
- Skill in oral and written communication
- Skill in operating a personal computer utilizing a variety of software applications, including database
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs data entry processes into a database
- Performs assigned tasks and projects
- Processes special and recurring reports and administrative records
- Verifies and corrects information, codes, and account numbers as necessary
- Ensure complete and accurate data entries into the system.
- Performs other duties as assigned
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
- Microsoft Excel: 1 year (Preferred)
- Data Entry: 1 year (Preferred)
